I was wondering if Finale had a way when I write for string quartet, to export the score, and all of the parts into 1 pdf document instead of 5 separate ones.

I don't know of a way. I think you'll have to combine them in a pdf program that has that feature.

When I was working in Windows, I used the pro version of CutePDF to create a single PDF from several. On my Mac, I use PDF Merger Lite for this purpose.

I use PDFfill free tools, although it also comes bundled with the full Editor that I bought. http://www.pdfill.com/pdf_tools_free.html

PDFCreator is free and will allow you to merge multiple items in the print cue into one file.

Hi There,
Along this same thread, I recently wrote a Python script that would merge the score and parts into a single file in score order (it reads the score to figure out what the specific score order is). Isn't polished up yet, but if anyone wants it, I'd be willing to polish the program and try to figure out a way to run it easily outside of terminal.

Hi,
Instead of creating 5 different PDF files a single PDF can be created by using the SysTools PDF File Merger Tool. It is the simple utility to combine multiple PDF documents without any hassle. Moreover, there is no file size limitation by the tool. Any number of PDF documents can be combined by this tool.
Thanks

When you export the parts you will have five files. I usually have to adjust the layout of the part files (so they fit on one or two pages for example). After the score and all parts look the way I want them to, I use the score merger to recombine into one “score and parts” file. You can then save the sngle file as a pdf that includes the score and parts as one file.
