Hi, I'm new to Finale.
I've imported a midi file into finale in order to create the corresponding score.

But there is an extra rest at the beginning of the first measure, and so the whole song is shifted to
the right.
I would like to delete that rest, so that the whole song would be shifted to the left.

Is there a simple way to do this?

Select everything to the right of that note, and drag to the left. It may take you a couple of tried to get it right. Undo is your friend.

Mmm, so there is the selection tool;
but my score has many pages, so how would I select all the score, except for the first rest ?

I tried to select all, then unselect the first rest only, but I'm stuck (shame on those developers which did not implement
simple shortcuts for simple things, if I may... :oops: )

I've found cmd+a to select all, but I couldn't find a way to unselect just the first rest from there.
I tried to cmd + click, opt + click, alt + click on the rest, but nope...

If you select the first partial measure, then SHIFT+end will extend your selection to the end of the piece.

The finale videos clearly explain how to select and extend the selection, in all directions.
