I selected an expression and changed its value :

quarter note = 168

I changed in the Playback in the Edit Text Expression Definition to 168.

But when I playback, only the first measure is playing with that tempo. Afterwards it slows down.

I appreciate your help.

I think that we need to see an actual (small) Finale 2012 .mus sample document.

Before you can attach a .mus document in this forum, you must compress it, e. g. as a .zip file.
And the file size must not be more than max. 100 KB.

Thank you, Peter,
I solved it opening a New Document, and then copying the first without the tempo, and adding the tempo finally into the new one.

If copying the music to a New Document solved the problem, then the culprit probably was tempo changes saved in the old document’s MIDI Data.
