Playback/pause help
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
Im sorry for all the posts you guys. I really do appreciate the help though! Another problem im having is with playback. Before, in my older version of Finale ('08), when I would play back what I've written, if during the playback I pushed the PAUSE button, it would do just that, PAUSE the music. Then I would push play and it would pick right up where it left off. In my Finale 2014 however, when I push PAUSE, it halts the music altogether and when I push play it just restarts the whole thing. Its kind of annoying when I want to just hear one measure....I dont want to have to listen all the way from the beginning if its just measure 61 i wanna jump to and hear. Any help? thanks guys!
as soon as i hit the pause button, everything else in the playback options goes dim and all i can press is the play button again....miker wrote:Switch to scroll view. In the playback controls, select "play from leftmost measure."

RDawg527,
Are you using Windows Finale or Mac Finale?
The Windows version and the Mac version are a little different in their Playback user interface.

One thing to try (I am not sure whether you have tried it already):
Expand the window Playback Controls.
I could be wrong here, but I think that you in the Windows version must click the little speaker icon to expand the window.
When you have expanded the window, you will see some more options.
