Some momths a go Peter sent me a "Semidiminished symbol" taht I keep.
I am working now with a new score where that symbol is not included in the library.
How could I copy or import that symbol in my present library of Expression tool, please?
Appreciate your help.

A simple way, especially if only 1 or 2 expression are concerned, is to open (in the Finale version you will use for the new document) a document in which the expression is placed in the score, copy that measure, then open your new document and paste the measure in it. The new document will now have the expression added to its expression library.

Thank you, Mike.
I've imported that way and it works.
A little problem I've got now, though. I realize now that the symbol Peter sent me is a CHORD symbol (B semidiminished 7), and I would like to have it as a Expression text.
It's the symbol with a divided circle I'm looking for.

This symbol exists in several fonts. For instance, Helvetica, Times New Roman, etc... : ø (copy this).
You can create a text expression with that. Just paste it into the expression definition, and choose a font, size, etc... for it.
PS : Coming back to chord symbols, you can create/modify a chord suffix so that it includes the symbol, using one of these fonts.
If you intend to use it regularly (as I do myself), create our own Chord Library, save it and load it in other documents and templates.
Be aware that if you load a chord library, it does NOT replace the existing one, it just places itself under it.
You can always delete the top suffixes in one selection.

You can create an expression with the semidiminished symbol.jose oscar wrote:…I realize now that the symbol Peter sent me is a CHORD symbol (B semidiminished 7), and I would like to have it as a Expression text…
The semideminished symbol (= ø) can be found in the music fonts (= e. g. the Maestro font),
in character slot #191.
Unless one of the already existing expression categories has the settings needed, I would create a new expression category.

in non musical fonts, there are many variations to choose from.michelp wrote:This symbol exists in several fonts. For instance, Helvetica, Times New Roman, etc... : ø (copy this).

Or copy/paste or O and change that into Maestro Percussion.
I use it in Helvetica (just a matter of taste !), like here in the following chord suffix :
In the Help menu, Character sets, Maestro, you'll find this:

Thank you very much, Mike.
At last I did the PASTE through Edit in the Expression Tool.
Before that I was trying the Paste as usual, Copy and Paste, but it was no possible.
