I just experienced a very odd behavior in the composition I am inputting into Finale for a Jazz Big Band; a few of the instruments changed their pitch - intonation without any change by me. I wasn't aware of any change and found out during playback. They didn't change notes just that the note they were to play became extremely sharp. I am completely puzzled. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? If so, how did you fix it and what were the possible causes?

Thanks,
Mark

Are there any glissandi in the document?

Yes there are a few glissandos. I found that by adding all new trumpets staves, 4 of them, to the score and copying the notes from the old staves to the new everything was normal. I then removed the old staves and all seems okay. What could have caused this?

I can not explain what could have caused the pitch change, but several Finale users have confirmed that the problem usually goes away, if you delete the glissandi.

Thanks Peter! I'll do it and maybe use something from the Articulation tool. It's a shame because the playback of the Gliss is great!
Thanks again
