Hi everyone,

I'm having a small but quite annoying issue that screws up the layout of my sheets. I'm using Finale Printmusic 2011 atm.

Whenever I change the time signature at the last bar of a system, the new time signature is displayed right after the last bar of the system as well as before the first bar of the next system:

How do I remove the extra time signature at the end of the first system?

Help much appreciated.

Welcome to the forum!

1) I suppose that you need to hide the courtesy time signature “globally” (= everywhere in the document), right?

I do not know PrintMusic.
I am not sure whether PrintMusic can access this document setting.
In the “full Finale” you would go to
Document Options - Time Signatures
and uncheck the option “Display Courtesy Time Signature at End of Staff System”.

2) If you only need to hide the courtesy time signature “locally”, then you need to change a setting for one particular measure.
In the “full Finale” you would switch to the Measure Tool, and double-click the last measure before the time signature.
In the Measure Attributes, check the option “Hide Cautionary Clefs, Key and Time Signatures”.

Those options are not available in PM. Sorry.
