I'm truing to put 2 systems of 5 staves (violins I & II, viola, Cello,Double Bass) per page, in a vertical page.

I put the RESIZE PAGE to 85%, but still, after doing

Page Layout/Spase systems evenly/Place 2 systems on each page

the system 2 looks partially inside system 1. I cannt see the 2 systemms properly separated

I appreciate your help

From your description it sounds like there is something wrong with the system margins.

System 2 should not go partially inside system 1.

Things to try:

1) Document menu > Page Format > Score…
Make sure that the Page Format settings are correct, and as you need them.

To update the score layout, switch to the Page Layout Tool, and use the command
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > All Page of Current Part/Score

2) Take a look in the Page Layout menu.
Is the option “Avoid Margin Collisions” selected or de-selected?

Thank you, Peter, for your answer.

First of all I must say taht I opend another File and deleted everithing but the staves.

1) "Document menu > Page Format > Score…
Make sure that the Page Format settings are correct, and as you need them."

I don't know wether they are correct or not, really, as I don't know what settings should be the right ones

2)"To update the score layout, switch to the Page Layout Tool, and use the command
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > All Page of Current Part/Score"

When I do it , one of the systems disappear

3) "Take a look in the Page Layout menu.
Is the option “Avoid Margin Collisions” selected or de-selected?"

Selected

I am sorry, I have expressed myself poorly.
What I meant was:
Make sure that the settings are as you need them.
You do know, what layout you need, right?

If you Update Layout, all missing systems should re-appear.
If, after an Update Layout, the layout still is not as needed, then some setting in {Page Format for Score} needs to be changed.

Selected
This is a good thing, since it means, that you can change the layout manually on the page, and Finale will automatically update the document settings in [Page Format for Score}.
To update the rest of the document with the new format settings, use the Page Layout command
Redefine Pages.

By The Way:
The option “Update Page Format for Score” is a program specific setting, not a document specific setting.

Thank you, Peter.
It must be something wrong in the settigs I had on the former File.

Eventually I did it opening another old File that looked well, and deleted the notes to incorporate the new ones
