Hi. Well, I guess I'm a newbie I had Sibelius for years, but my version finally got obsolete. I've been inputting, using midi files, and scanning in notation for some time. I thought that I could just control click and select a note. That doesn't work so I've just been picking the same note value in Simple Entry to get a note in the score selected. I'm mostly just doing octave changes for single notes or groups of notes. I did a score merger today with no problems and am quite pleased with the results, but single note selection has me stymied. Any help is really appreciated, thanks.

Well, that worked, so thanks very much.miker wrote:Selection tool>double click on the note.
I thought that's what I was doing, but apparently even though it looks like the Selection tool looks like it's been picked, I've learned that you have to click on it with the mouse before double clicking on the note. I think that I'm going to have to enlarge the help screens so that maybe the larger print will make it to my head. I appreciate your help.

Thanks. Made a note of it and will use it.
I'm very lucky to be on so many forums where everyone is helpful to others. I do feel embarrassed that I didn't know the most simple and important (to me) feature. I guess that's what I get for being a trumpet player.
