How to add space between bar lines when working

Hello

I am using Songwriter 2012 on a Mac. I am finding it straining for my eyes to enter notes on the staff because the bar lines of the measures are too close to each other, and the notes get crammed. Apart from zooming in, which makes everything big, is there a way to work with wider spaced bar lines?

Work with fewer measures per staff. You can easily move a measure down to the next system by selecting the measure, and tapping the down arrow.

I'm away from my computer, so I can't check: does SongWriter have Scroll View? If so, you might want to enter your notes there, and switch to page view for final layout.
