"Finale cannot initialize default printer"

It's trhe message I see on the sceen when I try to print a score.

Can you print from other apps?

Can you print to a virtual printer, like PDF Creator?

I see now the problem is in the printer, not in Finale

I have always been able to print music charts from my 2014 Printmusic software, but now get the error "cannot initialize default printer". I am still able to print from the other softwares on this laptop as well as from my smartphone. I have turned printer off/on and done printer driver updates and firmware updates. Any suggestions?
