When I playback I see this message:

Human playback message: " some instruments are sharing the same midi channel which may cause playback problems."

But when I chech the Instrumemnt list apparently they are ok:

instrument 1 - bank 1 - channel 1
instrument 2 - bank 1 - channel 2
instrument 3 - bank 1 - channel 3
instrument 4- bank 1 - channel 4
instrument 5 - bank 1 - channel 5
instrument 6 - bank 1 - channel 6

I't's something wrong that is hidden?

I appeciate your always valuable help

To find the culprit, I think that we need to see an actual (small) Finale sample document.

Before you can attach a Finale document in this forum, you must compress it, e. g. as a .zip file.
And the file size must not be more than max. 100 KB.

We only need to see an empty document - to reduce the file size you can clear out all the contents.

jose oscar,

As Far As I Can Tell, the culprit is the Piano which is not assigned to any channel - the Piano does not play back at all.

I didn't put any instrument to the Piano part on a purpose, as I only want to playback the string instruments.

Maybe it's again the Windows 10 I installed the reason, because now I've got some problems not only with Finale, but also with Word Office 2007, who is also writing many letters now and then without ordering it.

Thank you very much , though, for your time

I think I get your point:
You plan to put a Piano instrument to the Piano part when you need to playback the “full score” (including the Piano part), right?

I would put a Piano Instrument to the Piano part.
If you let Finale do the job for you, Finale will put the Piano on Channel 7, since Channel 7 is the next available channel.
Then, change the Piano to an un-used channel, e. g. Channel 8.
Since you are playing Finale through VST, changing an instrument to an un-used channel will mute that instrument.

Thank you, Peter, but I'm afraid it's again some problem related to my actualization to Wndows 10.

I played the same file on Finale 2014 and I don't receive that message.

I'll come back today to Windows 7, as Word 2007 is not working well neither after actualising to Windows 10
