Is there an ideal way in Finale to set down unconnected short musical ideas, one after another, day by day, as in a composition sketchbook? Other than just keeping the same L-O-N-G document with double bar lines separating the ideas? :?:  :?:

Not as far as I know.
Either one long, or many short.
Sorry.

From your question it is not very clear what you need.

What, exactly, are the features you are asking for?

What do you need to do with those “musical ideas”?

The better we understand, the better we can help you.

Thanks for the replies.

This is no big dilemma for me at all, I'm perfectly happy with my "sketchbook" in Finale, from which I can transfer an idea to a new document to expand on it. It's just that I had heard about a rival program's "ideas hub" feature and wondered exactly what that would consist of.

No worries! 8)
