Hello, I'm obviously new to this. I'm trying to transcribe some short jazz licks from violin to viola. None of these is more than a few bars long, and I'd like to be able to print a number of them on the same page, i.e. one page per key. However, Finale only seems to want to have a continuous stave as though it were one long piece. This makes it annoying to read.
If I select 4 bars at the start, then add some, it joins them on, which I don't want. Ideally I'd have each 2- or 4-bar section on a separate line. Can this be done?
This is on Notepad 2012, Windows.

With NotePad, you con't do much of anything special.
Here's a tutorial that I did about using multiple entries on one page with PrintMusic.

Note that this is for an older version of PM. The current version makes it much easier to hide that empty "intermediate" staff.

Nah, didn't work unfortunately. The version I've got doesn't seem to have the necessary functions. Fit measures and the dialogue box with lock system doesn't exist, or at least I can't find it anywhere. You're right, Notepad is very limited indeed. Thanks anyway
