Jose,
Here's another way to do it. However, I really don't see any problem with the way you wrote it. It's clearer keeping the triplets aligned, at least, to me.

Hello jose oscar,
Are you using Simple Entry or Speedy Entry?
Both entry tools can do what you are asking.
In Simple Entry (with entry caret):
Measure 1:
5 (selecting Quarter Tool…)
0 (…entering a quarter rest…)
9 (…defining a quarter triplet…)
6 (…selecting Half Tool…)
B (…entering a half note…)
+ (…raising the half note a halfstep)
Measure 2:
5 (selecting Quarter Tool…)
G (…entering a quarter note…)
9 (…defining a quarter triplet…)
6 (…selecting Half Tool…)
G (…entering a half note)
Measure 3:
In the Simple Entry Options, de-select “Check for Extra Notes”.
6 (selecting Half Tool…)
F (…entering a half note…)
Ctrl-9 (…opening the Simple Entry Tuplet Definition…)
Define the tuplet as 3 Quarters in the space of 2 Quarters.
Click OK.
. (…hitting the period key to dot the half note…)
⇢ (…hitting the right-arrow key to select the quarter rest…)
Delete (…deleting the quarter rest)
You can select “Check for Extra Notes” again when you have entered the tuplet.

Thank you very much, Peter and Miker,
I see that the point is to de-select "Check for extra notes".
Now it's ok
