I need copy the actual font so I can copy that font to another program. I couldn't find a "1/6 rest font" in any of the Maestro fonts, yet there is one in the Finale
program of course.

This is the second thread about the same thing, but with a different topic name. We all seem to be able to get the 16th rest except the OP. Maybe we need more info. Check out the thread about alt numbers.
Another Font to consider using is the Maestro Times font.

When you say press the x key, that is the 16th note. What is the 16th rest? That's why I suggested alt-0197.

Thanks Ronald Brown. That was what I was looking for except I got a sixteenth (note) instead of a sixteenth (rest) when I typed the x key in Maestro. What is the key for a sixteenth rest?
Thanks again.

Ronald Brown is wrong. There are more characters in a font than keys on the keyboard. Once again, to get a 16h rest, hold down the Alt key and type 0197 on the keypad. Release the Alt key. You may need Numlock on. If you have a laptop you may need to put it into keypad mode.
I suppose you could try copying this letter:
Å
and changing it to the Maestro font.

I'm sure there's an equivalent on Windows, but on a Mac (UK) keyboard typing Shift/Option/A (all at the same time) I get the Scandinavian letter Å in most fonts, which in Maestro Times produces the desired semi-quaver (16th) rest.

Thanks to all the nice people that offered your help. I had problems only because I was trying to create a sixteenth note into AutoCad. The alt+0197 works in all programs except AutoCad which came up with (#) instead.
I ended up with copy/paste/move around two eighth notes to create a sixteenth which works (sort of) but sure isn't as good as an as alt code.
Thanks again.

That is actually quite easy to do in Finale. There's even a template for that.

P.S.: Actually, the template is for Lyrics under Chords, but I'm sure there is a simple way to accomplish this easily in Finale, which might save a ton of time. Can you post a picture of what the end result should look like? That way we might have a viable Finale approach.

I don't know if I'm allowed by the Forum to attach a pdf of a finished page. If so, I could probably accomplish that. I'm just not well versed on making a picture and sending it to this thread. Would be glad to do that if I knew how.
It would be nice to be able to do (what I do) in Finale instead of AutoCad in the long run which I'm willing to learn.
Any help concerning this would surely be appreciated.
Thanks,
George

It is one of the most popular CAD programs, but personally, I don't like it. (I just couldn't get the hang of it, after using another drafting program for years.) But using it for notation is like driving a nail with a screwdriver.
