Darn. Is Band in the Box Auto-Harmony really gone in the Finale 25? I know it was in v14.5. Is there a way of porting that plug-in from v14.5 without playing with fire and crashing everything?

I am taking a jazz composition class, remembered that there was some sort of auto-harmony plug-in...but in the new version I couldn't find it. I still have 14.5 installed.

Finale went from 32-bit to 64-bit, so the old plug-ins won't work.

Back when I wrote infomercial soundtracks, the BIAB plug allowed me to work quickly and meet deadlines. Since I became handicapped, even that cannot help me work as fast as I need so that business is gone for me. This is the only reason I don't miss the plugin.

OTOH, Band in a Box works with Finale. I made the investment in the latest to accommodate a client who wants to do some vanity recordings while letting me save enough time to make them affordable.

Depending on the version, it costs $99 - $500 at Sweetwater, a definite savings over buying directly.

No, it's not a plugin. Actually, it's an upgrade but it's the only thing I could find like it that works with Finale. This old tutorial from 2007 on the basics is still valid.
