I'm using the trial version of Finale V25 with Windows 10 on an ASUS Laptop
The issue: Setting up the Score Manager to use notation that has already been transposed.
In other words, I enter in the score the note the player will see and play, not the note I want to hear.
For an Eb Alto Saxophone to sound a Middle C, I enter in my score an A, 6 notes above the Middle C.
I don't use key signatures. I put the required accidentals in front of the notes as they are played.
This is an already finished manuscript score that I want to put into Finale notation.
So in summation, how do I set up Windows/Score Manager/Alto Saxophone?
I've also tried using Document and checking Display in Concert Pitch, but that doesnn't help.
Thanks for any direction you can give me.

In this case the option “Display in Concert Pitch” is not what you need.

Instead, use keyless key signature (Key Signature Tool).
In the dialog box Key Signature, select the option “Hide Key Signature and Show All Accidentals”.

I suggest that you …
- first create the document via the Document Setup Wizard (= less headache for you),
- then change the key signature to keyless (as described above).

When the document has been created, you can examine it, and find out how it is set up.

When you enter in the score the note the player will see and play, Finale will play back the note you want to hear.
In Other Words: The staff transposition will show the Written Pitch, and playback will play the Concert Pitch.

Or are you familiar with an older Finale version?

I figured this out myself. It was serendipity.
Window/Score Manager/Transposition/Other/Chromatic/Voila!
Thanks to those of you who offered insight into this area.
