[Hi! I'm back -- it's been a while.]
Finale 25.4.1.152 Windows
I have an old score that I need to update. It was first created in Finale 2006. I opened the score in Finale 25.4.1.152, saving it to a .musx file (all in Windows). So far, so good. I did some fixups to the parts (split Trombones 1&2 into separate parts, added Baritone TC from the BC part, etc.) and generated the parts. Now I've made some changes to the score and am noticing the changes are only showing up in the parts in SCROLL view, but not in PAGE view.
I've tried selecting all the music on a part (in page view) and then using CTRL+U (Update Layout), but the page view doesn't show the changes. Is there a way to get my changes from the score into the parts without having to regenerate the parts from scratch? (There's a TON of editing I have to do to get the parts looking presentable.)
If you need additional information, please let me know. Thanks!

Without seeing the file we would be guessing. Two things that come to mind are 1) differences in how Optimization (the old way) and hiding staves (the new way) can lead to some confusion and 2) the need to update MM rests.

What might be going on is Document Options / Multimeasure Rests / Update Automatically. If that's not checked, then something added where there were previously rests might not show up in Page View. The way to fix this is to select everything in the part in Page View, right-click, and pick Multimeasure rests create.
But the best way to solve it is to attach your file and provide a pointer to where score and part differ.

Yep -- looks like multi-measure rests are the culprits. When I "break" the rests, all the changes show up. I'll leave them "broken" until I'm ready to publish the parts.
Thanks all!

Checking the option might have unwanted consequences, in some cases. Just be forewarned. It's not the end all of options.
