how to delete an entire layer

how to delete an entire layer, in finale 25, windows. Many thanks!
Select the region and the layer you want to delete.
Document menu -> check "Show Active Layer only". Clear it or use Ctrl-X.
When you are done, uncheck "Show Active Layer only".
