Perhaps there is a new way to get Finale to lay out measures the way it used to, a new way I don't know. How can you get Finale for WIndows not to do something like this?

getting music layout to impact measure width

Between Finale 98 and Finale 25 for Windows, measures would automatically adjust to accommodate the notes, accidentals, and so on entered in them, That ended with Finale 26 and 27. There are lots of places where you can specify exactly how much space should be between notes and accidentals and many other places, but none of them (except perhaps maxima) are reflected in practice.
Perhaps there is a new way to get Finale to lay out measures the way it used to, a new way I don't know. How can you get Finale for WIndows not to do something like this?
