Here we go again. Just after I solved the first problem with my score, another problem arises.
If you didn't read my previous post, I am writing an orchestral score. I use Finale 2007c. This problem, however, is the tempo.
I have tried everything in my power (and in a Finale 2005 rule book) to change the tempo. These ways do not work. I have tried speeds as low as 20 to as high as 222, but the tempo always remains the same.
Please, please, help me!

Are you trying to change the tempo by adding tempo markers? If so, then it is important that you define the tempo via the expression tool. The easiest way I have come up with to change the tempo is to select one of the precreated tempos, duplicate then edit it. Change the text to reflect the tempo you would like, then from the Playback tab, change the effect to set the tempo to the desired bpm. Ok and place.
