I feel like this is a dumb question but in PrintMusic 2009 or even in Finale is there a way to only have to add a dynamic once and have it apply to all staves? It's getting tedious adding dynamics to every part on the score.

Not in PM2009. However, this function is added in 2010. It might be worth downloading the demo, and see what you think.

The improved chord tool is a hit, too.

I just installed PM2010 and still can't figure it out. Can you tell me how to add dynamics to all staves at the same time (or even better just the staves without rests)?

In the "full" Finale, it is possible : for the text expressions, dynamics, there is an "Assign" button, which allows you to select : this staff, all staves, or a group of staves you can define.
Also, this technique helps : hold/drag the mouse over several staves vertically, the expression will be added to these staves in one action.

With the expression tool selected, click-drag across the measures where you want the expressions. You will see a dotted line enclosing the area, which will disappear when you release the mouse button. The expression window will open. Select the dynamic level. It should put it on all staves that you selected. (At least, it does on mine!)

Hello, I have a simple question: how is it possible to imput(import) bulk dynamics (MIDI 0-127)? For fxample: for the whole of a instrument part for the 500-not at the same time - each note another dynamic level (dynamic - veloc.in format: value gap value etc., for ex: 40 80 127 as: p mf fff). Is it possible? Thank you very much, sincerely, PetrH
