I am ready to invest a lot of time reading an in-depth tutorial, but first I would like to make certain it is one of the better ones.

Mark Johnson's Finale 2011: A Trailblazer's Guide is pretty good.

Don't forget to study the stuff that comes with the Finale installation - there's a lot of goodies in there:

- Finale Tutorials

- QuickStart Videos

You're going to be limited to what Finale gives you: the tutorials and videos included with the program. I don't think anybody has done anything beyond that, strictly for PM. You can always use the same advanced books that are for Finale; just remember that you won't be able to use many of the features.

Yeah, isn't that the truth. More and more I'm, like, "But...I can't do that!"

Sad. So sad. But one day!

And when you reach that point often enough, you give up the lattes, and start looking under the couch cushions. It's a terrible thing...

The best tutorial is to be a disciple of THIS forum. Spend time digging through the archives. Learn the language. Every facet of the program has been covered here, it just takes a little patience to find the process.
And best of all, it doesn't cost you a thing!

Oh, for sure. I've got a study system going on that incorporates not only keeping up with the new posts, but going through the past posts as well. Definitely a must.

Thanks,
