how to break beam like this?

Hi guys,

I have tried liked anything and i cant do this is it possible to break beams like this in Finale? I am using Finale 2011. Thanks for help

I did it by using the Beam Extension Tool to slide the main beam to the right, and then created a fake beam with the shape creator. (Notes were entered randomly!)

Thanks Miker, actually i thought about drawing that thing but i thought its a lame solution :DD but it looks fine thanks again i'll do it that way

You can also do it in this way:

Enter the same beamed notes twice, in Voice 1 and Voice 2.

Extend the 8th note beam inwards from either side in Voice 1 and Voice 2.

To access the Voice 2 beam handles more easily, extend the stems in Voice 1 temporarily (= while you are shortening the Voice 2 beam), by using the Beam Angle Tool:
Select the left handle, and move it up.

Peter's way is better than mine, because it should hold together as measures flow, where mine would have to be done last. Also, his method will account for a sloped beam.
