i've looked thru the tutorials and couldn't find anything on this.

i am trying to do a quarter note triplet where there is a quarter note covering the first two beats and then the eighth note to finish out the triplet. i can get it started but i cannot change the first eighth to the quarter note i want.

any suggestions?

thanks,
m

One way, in Speedy entry :
Select the eight note as the basic unit of your triplet
enter 3 eight notes
delete the middle one
change the first eight note into a quarter note (type 5)

The procedure works for me.
The basic triplet note is the eight note (key = 4)
Did you delete the middle eight note ?
