I am in the process of entering a concert band score into Finale 2007. I've already finished the woodwind section. I entered the first two trumpet parts (there are three total) and all elements of the playback sounded normal. Then, when I went to enter notes in the Trumpet 3 part, all the playback for that part sounded like a synth brass, even though the instrument used for playback is listed as trumpet. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time, and have a nice day.

Do you have that third trumpet on a different channel? Is it assigned to the same MIDI output playback as the others?

it's on the same channel and midi output playback as the others. Also, the "Reload MIDI Drivers" option has a check mark next to it. I don't think that's supposed to be there.

In the instrument list window, have you tried to select the checkbox "send patches before play" ?
