Please be more specific:
Are you using Finale 2000?
Do you want to hide all the page numbers in the document, or do you only want to hide the page number on one particular page, like e. g. the page number on Page 9 so that Page 8 displays an '8', Page 9 displays no number, and Page 10 displays a '10'?

The latter - I want to hide only one particular page number. In my case, the music ends on page 15, and the next page contains a copyright warning, and it is page 16. I don't want the "16" to show on that page only. Yes, I am using Finale 2000. Thanks.Peter Thomsen wrote:Please be more specific:

If I understand you correctly, page 16 is the last page in the document, and you want the page numbering to include the page range 1-15 only.musicus wrote:...I want to hide only one particular page number. I don't remember, whether it was possible in Finale 2000, but in later versions you can specify a text block's page range:
Text Tool.
Select the page number text block handle, and go to
Text menu > Frame Attributes...
The dialog box Frame Attributes lets you specify a page range where you want the text block to display.

Could you (either) select the text box with the number and delete it, or drag it off the page so it won't print?

Thanks. It is under Frame/attributes/attach frame range. Not under Text menu. But your suggestion led me to the correct place. Thanks again.Peter Thomsen wrote:If I understand you correctly, page 16 is the last page in the document, and you want the page numbering to include the page range 1-15 only.musicus wrote:...I want to hide only one particular page number. Peter has given the key. Create a text insert/page number that covers a page range 1-15. As a result, 16 will have no number.Johncarter wrote:I want to hide only one particular page number. To do that, go to the frame attributes window (in the text menu in recent versions or via right-click on the text handle : edit frame attributes) and under "attach to page", select "page range" and enter 1-15.
