Hello,
I would be very happy if a professional Finale user could help me. I'm using Finale 2014 on Windows. My question is, that how can I move the notes from right hand to the left hand (treble clef). I want to realize what you can see on the picture below. I'm aware that it's possible to move the notes with "Cross Staff" plug-in, but I'd like to have the rests moved too.

Thanks in advice!

I have done this 2 ways:
1. Manually move the rests with Simple Entry and the down arrow key.
2. Do the measure with Layers on the lower staff and hide the rest in the upper staff.

I would forget about cross-staff moving and enter the notes of the bottom manual in two layers. You'll need to hide rests in both bottom and top manuals. Since it's freely-notated with those final quarters in that measure, you'll probably as well want a different time signature (8/4?) but displayed as 4/4.

@zuill: Thank you. If there's no other way I'll will do it like that. Is there another way?
@motet: Yeah, I just noticed the not indicated tempo change.

If I do it in two layers, will the rests be on top of each other? Or I'll have to do that manually anyway.

Or 9/4, maybe.
With layers, the result should look similar to what you've posted. There is a newish Finale option to consolidate rests in layers; I don't have experience with this, but I'm sure it can be turned off if it's on by default.

@motet: Yep, thank you! The option is in Document > Document Options… > Layers > "Consolidate rests across layers". And you can even set the distance between with "Adjust floating rests by:" option.
