Does 27.1 offer support for OTF kerning and ligatures?

I know this was on the radar and was hopeful 27.1 had fixed it.
Does anyone know if this update now lets Finale correctly realize OTF, including kerning, ligatures, and CALT?
Thanks,
Dan

Sigh. Finale (on Windows) is the only notation program that still doesn’t support advanced font features. Version 27 was supposedly going to fix this. Sibelius, Dorico, Musescore… they all render OTF correctly. Come on, guys.

I don’t have version 27, and I’d rather not take the time to purchase/download/install it just to check.

Yes, the Mac version of the program supports Ligas and Kernings.dankreider wrote: ↑Tue Nov 16, 2021 7:22 pmDoes anyone know if this update now lets Finale correctly realize OTF, including kerning, ligatures, and CALT?
As for the "CAlt" — I have not tested yet.
This is only about Finale 27.1.
________
Now about FinaleMaestro (SMuFL)
It consists of 2741 characters and there are 820 kernings, 9 aalts (access all alternates), 15 salts (stylistic alternates).
The ligatures are 125 and most of them are related to G-clef with number(s) below (39) and above (22), combination of dynamics, ornaments, predefined time signatures etc.
However, non of them is easy to be reached, unless a man using Ukulele (Mac app.) creates a custom SMuFL-Unicode keyboard layout (and some kind of alternative one for Win).
IMO, it would have been much easier to build in Finale scripts (as seen in Dorico) or embedding into the font itself the necessary features, offering the usage of (basic Latin) characters (or combination of such) for immediate access to dynamics, articulation, special symbols etc.
Every font creator would agree, that it is a "Must" process and the implementation of all "first aid" features does not take more than one day hard work and testing.
Instead, the v.27.1 "Finale-ist" is forced to dig in the menus or to apply 4 character shortcut (Mac version), then scrolling and roving through number of categories or using tedious methods in order to build, for example, simple constructions like "sfffz", "rnfz", "sfzppp", although duplicate/copy/past between predefined selections appears to be a primitive option.
(This process, however, is starting to look like Sibelius workflow. Please forgive me for showing this ironic condescension.)
IMHO, the "SMuFL-ed" Maestro needs an improvement in order to become trustworthy Finale music font.

Thanks Wess. Actually Finale on Mac has supported OTF since at least version 25. Windows is the problem.
