Hello everyone, me again :)

I have finale 2006. I am writing a drumset part.

The hi-hat can be written as closed or open, however it can only be written open if it corresponds to a half or a whole note.

How can I change this default setting in order to write short open hi-hat notes?

Many many thanks,

Candy:)

Maybe you could use, above the notes, the articulations which are commonly used for hi-hat : + for close, o for open. Drummers are familiar with those symbols.

Can anybody tell me how to notate 5-stroke, 7-stroke, and 13-stroke rolls for snare drum?
