Dear Finale users,
I'm writing a drum part, and I want to use a Staff Style to put slash notation into layers 1 and 2, but leave layer 4 as standard notation, which will be cue notes. (I'm going with this format as I want the playback function of the part to remain).
When I found an answer online, I realised that it was out of date with my version of Finale. (Although it was what I remember doing previously). Is there a way I can achieve this without using the 'Add Cue Notes' plugin, which seems complicated, and also didn't work when I tried it?
Many thanks,
Andrew Harrison
Slash notation on layers 1 & 2, normal notation on layer 4

Thanks Motet. Yes, I discovered that you can only put slashes on a single layer. What I've done is hide the notes in layer 2, so it's all working ok. However, those hidden layer 2 notes don't play any more, but that's not such a big deal.
Appreciate your response.
