Hi folks,
Been a few years since I used finale and am wondering how to attach stem to tab numbers. For example I have a number on the 3rd or fourth string, the stems won't go through the staff to meet the number. Is there a way to do this? THANX!

Staff Tool.

Double-click the TAB staff.
In the Staff Attributes, in the pane "Items to Display", select "Stems", and click the button "Stem Settings…"

In the dialog box Staff Stem Settings you can select "Use Vertical Offset For Notehead End Of Stems",
and you can click the radio button Offset From Notehead.

You can also specify the stem's vertical offset from the notehead.

Tip:
For precision layout like Stem Settings it is easier if you choose small Measurement Units like Points or EVPUs.

You can choose Measurement Units in Finale here:
Preferences -> Program Options -> Edit
