Tried to find a solution for this but can only find ones involving "ledger line collision". Anyway, every time I write a passage with grace notes, the grace notes ram right into the previous note, instead of mostly in the middle, but a bit closer to the note that comes after the grace note, like it's supposed to look. I've tried changing the grace-note spacing settings, which helps at first, until I add notes to that measure, in which case it reverts back to the sloppy middle-school-project-looking spacing where the grace note is getting all cozy with the note that comes after. Is this a bug? I mean, I know I can use the special tools to move grace notes, but I really don't want to, and definitly shouldn't need to have to individually space every single grace note so that it looks presentable. I attached a picture.

Which settings?ZacPB189 wrote:…I've tried changing the grace-note spacing settings…
There are two places to look at:
* Document Options - Grace Notes (the value “Grace Note Offset on Entry”)
* Document Options - Music Spacing (in the pane Grace Note Spacing)

OK, you have tried all 4 settings.
What about
Document Options - Music Spacing > Manual Positioning
?
Have you tried changing that pop up menu?
