Dear list
I need help with a special notation problem.
How to do this- even if I am quite skilled Finale user - No idea.
Please look at the added attachment.
I need help with the notation of 4/4. How is this done?

Do you mean, how to create that time signature? I did it as an expression.

An easier way to create these notations.

I do not think that there will be a Finale 2015.

There was no Finale 2013 (2012 and 2014, but no 2013).

I could be wrong here, but it is my guess that the next Finale version will be Finale 2016 (to be released in summer 2015).

It took me (maybe) 30 seconds. Not such a big deal, IMO.

One more idea :
The number 4 can be the top one of the time signature, with, in Document Options, the vertical values positioning it above the staff.
The lower number (not needed) can be ejected out of the page (type a huge vertical value).
Then the quarter note can be created as an expression, like miker suggested. In Maestro, type Q to get a quarter note.
