How do I make my fermatas last longer in playback? I have Alto one with a cadenza like solo and the fermata is on the third triplet of beat 4. Rest of the band has a half note fermata on beat 3. By the time the playback reaches the second triple of beat 4, everything fades out while the alto solo continues to finish the last two notes. Is there a way to make that fermata to last longer like an actual fermata so I can hear all of the notes play together? Also if there is a way to do that with just this fermata because there are like 2 other fermatas in the chart and I don't need those to be longer than it already is.

Perhaps it is just me, but I prefer to have everyone have the fermata at the same spot in the measure, as it saves confusion as to the conducting. If others have a fermata on a later beat, the individual performer won't know what beat. This is always a trainwreck waiting to happen.

See the attached image.

This will also solve your playback problem.
