Finale 2014 Mac-

Looking to figure out how I might be able to change noteheads one at a time rather than trying to fiddle around with the Plug-in or utilities - change - noteheads... as both of those methods appear to change the entire measure rather than the specific notes I need.

Thank you!

1) Do not select the entire measure.
Only the beats you need to change.
To do so, drag-select across the region, but begin outside the staff.

2) Those fourths are harmonics.
In the attached image I can not see the clef, but I am guessing that the clef is the Tenor Clef, so that those fourth notes are ‘c’ and ‘f’, right?
The upper fourth note (= ‘f’) indicates where to touch the string without pressing.
As a result you will hear a harmonic two octaves above the lower fourth note (= ‘c’).
When you have drag-selected the region with the fourths, go to
Plug-Ins menu > TG Tools > Easy Harmonics
Tobias Giesen’s plug-in will only change the notehead on the upper note - and playback will be correct!

Exactly what I was hoping for thank you so so much!

When you go to Jari's site, look for this:

Got that far, now I can't find the plugins folder on my macbook pro.... so I cant figure out how to install it.

Also now facing a new problem-

Can only seem to get the highest note to appear as a harmonic using TG tool..even though I used two layers to create the chord

Use "View Active Layer Only" to look at the layers separately, and see if that helps.

I could be wrong here, but it is my guess that the path is this:
-/Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 2014/Plug-Ins

I am not sure why it does not work for you, but here is an idea:
Try while you have selected
Document menu > Show Active Layer Only

Explanation: “Show Active Layer Only” also means “Edit Active Layer Only”.
