In this segment, the tempo is q=116 before the "Comodo q=84". On playback, the tempo slows two bars too early and I can't figure out why. Thanks!

My profile info is incorrect even though it's correct in my control panel. Finale 2010, MacBook Pro Yosemite

Somewhere in the 5th measure (= the last measure before the time signature change to 3/4) there is an expression with playback effect {Tempo Change}.
Delete that expression, and the playback behaves.

I have not found the expression (it must be invisible - I can not even find its expression handle), but there is a way to clear the expression:
Via the dialog box Clear Selected Items you can clear all expressions from that measure.

(To select a measure, double-click it)

I did do that first, I must have checked the wrong items, although I thought I had.... This time it worked. So thank you as always.

I have attached a screenshot of the dialogue box in question. Interesting.....

In your screen shot (of the dialog box Clear Selected Items) I can see that you have selected, not only Expressions, but also Articulations.

However, it should not be necessary to clear Articulations, since the Articulation Tool can not change the tempo.
Any tempo change at an articulation (e. g. a rallentando before a fermata) is done/caused by
Human Playback, not by the Articulation Tool.

Yes. I do know that. In this case it was irrelevant. BTW, the distorted text in the dialogue box is how Finale 2010 reacts to Yosemite. Perhaps Finale 2014 does not have this problem.

The "wrong" info can be updated in Profile -> Edit Signature.
