This may be a stupid question, but I can't figure out how to make the accidentals of the chord symbols smaller. I used a template that started making them this way, and I don't know how to change it now.

Can you post that template?

To post a .mus file here, it must be compressed (zipped) and cannot exceed 100 kb in size.

I can't remember exactly what template I selected. It was a couple weeks ago, but I can post the piece for you to take a look at. It's a choir arrangement I did for a church Easter song. I've only started using Finale for about a month. So I'm pretty new.

Thanks for all your help.

You can change the size of the accidental associated with the root in Document Options -> Fonts -> Chords -> Alteration.

Here is your Finale 2012 document - with a smaller font for the chord symbol alteration.
I also adjusted the accidental’s vertical position.

The only alteration I have is for baseline adjustment. Nothing about the size of the accidental.

The accidental I am talking about is the one associated with the root : C#, Db, etc...
Select Alteration and click on Set Font.

Thank you for clearing that up. It works!

I mentioned that the Jazz, Broadway & Copyists automatically change the size of the
b or #. I wonder why Maestro doesn't?

Unfortunately I can not find the place where you mentioned that.
(Perhaps it has been deleted?)

Hence I have not read about the circumstances where “Jazz, Broadway & Copyist automatically change the size of the
b or #, but Maestro does not.

Could you provide steps to reproduce the issue?

It seems to me when I write a Bb with Broadway the flat will enlarge when I enlarge the B. However,
with Maestro the b won't enlarge after the B is.

Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce that behaviour.

When using Broadway, when I enter a chord symbol with Bb, and enlarge the B, the flat does not automatically enlarge with the B.
