I upgraded to windows 10 the other day and now my finale 2008 won't open. It just takes forever and eventually says program not responding. Help!

You could contact tech support, but I'm sure they will respond that 2008 is no longer supported.

You may need to upgrade. There have been a lot of changes over the past 7 years and 6 versions.

Uninstall, and then install only program, not Garritan. Works, but doesn't sound so good.

Any additional advice on running Finale 2008 on Windows 10? I need to finish up a long-delayed project, and don't want to have to learn a new Finale version in order to do so (having enough problems learning to use Windows 10 on a new computer!)

Thanks, Noel

Welcome to the forum!

Just an idea:
Have you tried running Finale 2008 in Compatibility Mode?

Thanks! Where can I find out about "compatability mode"? Is this something I do through Windows or through Finale?

That's a Windows function. Check Google; windows 10 compatibility mode.

I'm on a Mac, so I can't help more than that!
