I am creating a new edition of a piece and would like to have my markings (articulations, dynamics, etc) to be in parentheses. Is there a way to create articulations with the parentheses included so I don't have to manually add one on each side of the existing articulations? I am using Finale 2014 on a Mac. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the forum!

Yes, there is a way:
Instead of creating the parenthesized articulations as font character articulations, create them as shape articulations.
With the Shape Designer you have inside Finale a small drawing program where you can create a text block, and combine font characters.
You can even enter characters from multiple fonts in the same text block.
You can also create multiple text blocks, and position the text blocks as needed.
