Coda Plugin Doesn't Leave Space Between Measures

I'm trying to write a coda in Finale 2014.5 on Mac OSX El Capitan.
The problem I'm having with the plugin is with the empty space between the D.S. al Coda and Coda measures. My score will reflect a gap in my music, but not in the individual parts. My flute, clarinet, sax... etc. parts do show the coda symbol and necessary jumps, but the measures are still joined.
I want my music to reflect the gap on one system as apposed to a new system entirely, so that I can keep the parts to one page each.
Any help is appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!
I must admit that I do not yet have neither 2014.5 nor El Capitan - I have not had the time to get there - so the following is for 2014d and Mac OS X 10.9.5:
The plug-in Create Coda System creates a Coda System only in the current part/score.
It does not automatically create a Coda System in both the score and all the linked parts at once.
From your description it sounds like you have run the plug-in while viewing the score.
To get the Coda System in a part, first view the part:
Document menu > Edit Part > …
Next, select the first Coda measure, and then run the plug-in.

Thanks for the welcome!
I did forget to mention however that I tried doing that already, but I can't select any plug-ins while viewing a single part. Lyrics, Measures, Miscellaneous, etc. plugins are all un-selectable. Is there another solution perhaps?
The attached screenshot highlights the measure I want to split with a coda, and also my dilemma above

Hi Miker!miker wrote:Try unlocking the system, and see if that helps.
I have now tried that as well, even unlocking every part and score. I've also tried a brand new blank document, but neither has worked. I'm still unable to either have the plug-in create a space from the score and into the parts, or even be able to use the plugin while directly editing the part.
As a slight workaround I re-locked all my parts' systems so that the last system was the only one displaying the coda. I then moved the last system's left margin in to create a similar effect.
I would still appreciate a proper solution to my problem for future reference!
Good luck and thanks for your help!

I think we need to examine the Finale file.

This seems to be a difference between Finale 2014d and Finale 2014.5:
With Finale 2014d you can run the plug-in Create Coda System in a linked part.
With Finale 2014.5 you can not - the plug-in is greyed out when you are viewing a linked part.
Gittles, do you have 2014d installed on the computer?
