I'm re-scoring SATB Bach Chorales in a condensed grand staff - SAT&B are on Layers 1,2,3, and 4 respectively.

Playback processes all four voices and I can hear them just fine, but I'm only able to display at most three voices simultaneously.

How do I get Finale 2014 to display all four layers/voices for printing purposes?

Welcome to the forum!

I think that we need to see an actual (small) Finale sample document.
There are too many variables to be guessing.

This forum does not accept attachments with the Finale file name extension.

Before you can attach a Finale document in this forum, you must compress it, e. g. as a .zip file.
And the file size must not be more than max. 100 KB.

Not sure why the layers aren't showing. But, in any case, I would suggest that you not use layers 3 and 4. You can put S and A in layers 1 and 2 in the treble staff, and TB in layers 1 and 2 in the bass.

Layers 3 and (rarely) 4 are generally only used in instruments like piano, organ, classical guitar, harp, etc.

wonglokut,

If you switch to Layer 2, then Layer 2 is displayed.
In Other Words:
When Layer 2 is the active layer, then Layer 2 is displayed.
When Layer 2 is not the active layer, then Layer 2 is hidden.

This is due to a document specific setting:
Document menu > Document Options > Layers
In the pop up menu in the top of the dialog box, select Layer 2.
The option “Hide Layer When Inactive” is selected for Layer 2.
De-select this option, and Layer 2 will always be visible, no matter which layer is active.

The above is also true for Layer 3.
The option “Hide Layer When Inactive” is selected for Layer 3.
De-select this option, and Layer 3 will be visible, no matter which layer is active.

By The Way:
You can easily move the Layer 3 notes to Layer 1.
Selection Tool.
Select the region, and go to
Edit menu8 > Move-Copy Layers…

In the same way you can move the Layer 4 notes to Layer 2.
