I wrote version 1 of a bar and then decided it would look better with grace notes (it is folk music) but Finale plays the grace notes before the 2nd beat, i.e. it takes time out of the 2nd quaver. Is there a way to change that? I looked in the human playback options but did not find it.

As Far As I Can Tell, Human Playback does not have an option for letting two consecutive grace notes “steal” their duration from the following entry.

Human Playback can do it with a single grace note:
(In the dialog box Human Playback® Custom Style, select “Ornaments & Tremolos” and “Baroque Ornaments & Grace Notes”)
- but a single grace note is not what you have here.

I suggest that you discuss the issue with the folks in MakeMusic’s Tech Support.
It sounds like a good feature request.
