I'm preparing the score of a multi-movement work for printing, and for some unknown reason, the first system of the last movement is visibile only in Scroll View; in Page View the lower half of the page is empty, and the second system is on the next page.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this problem?

Assuming you've already tried "Update Layout", there is probably something wonky with the system margins.

Can you post the score so we can have a look?

In order to post a file on this forum, it must be compressed (zipped) and the total size must be under 100KB.

Okay, here is the file (I wasn't sure exactly what to remove to get it down to less that 100KB!!)

The problem occurs on page 17. The system at the top of the page is the final system of the third movement. The first system of the fourth movement is missing; the second system is at the top of page 18.

For a moment, I thought I had resolved the problem; I removed the sytem lock at the top of page 17, and the 'missing' opening system of the next movement did appear at the bottom of the page, but the final bar of the top system had disappeared. So I think the system lock has something to do with the problem.
Anyway, see if you can identify the cause...

There are two systems on each page.
Hence the “missing” system (at the bottom of page 17) is System 34.

When I opened your attached document, I could see a small System 34 at the bottom of Page 17.

With the Resize Tool (icon: %) I was able to resize System 34 back to “normal” size:

I do not know, how System 34 got resized to small size, but resizing System 34 back to “normal” size seems to fix the problem.

Thanks for your reply, Peter.

I cannot see the missing system at all, and if I use the resize tool (clicking where the system should theoretically be), I am only given the option of resizing the page. Is there another way to get into the Resize Staff System pane that you used to correct the problem?

Further to my last message, I have now managed to enlarge that system. It must have been almost invisibile to the naked eye, as I couldn't see it at all!

Thanks a lot, Peter.
