In the attached file, meas.69 and onwards appears to look slightly smaller in size than the preceding measures, as well as when printed out. I don't understand this. I applied the Resize tool to both meas.45 and 69 and they both show 85%. So they should look the same, right? What am I doing wrong? Mac, sys 10.6, Finale 2011. Thanks.

The difference is in the System Scaling.
However, I am not sure, which setting is the one, that you need, and which setting is the wrong setting.

1) If you look at
Document menu > Page Format > Score…
then you will see the following settings for System Scaling:

Staff Height: 20.5pt
And Resize System: 100 %
Resulting System Scaling: 85 %

Is this what you need?

Finale uses the settings in Page Format for Score when creating new systems/pages.
Page 4 in your document is formatted according to the settings in Page Format for Score.

2) On The Other Hand, the System Scaling on Page 3 is different:

Staff Height: 24pt
And Resize System: 90 %
Resulting System Scaling: 90 %

Is this what you need?

No matter what settings you need, the solution is the same:
Go to
Document menu > Page Format > Score…
and make sure the settings are, as you need them.
Change the settings if necessary.
Then switch to the Page Layout Tool, and Redefine Pages (look in the Page Layout menu).

PS
There is a handy setting in the Page Layout menu:
Update Page Format for Score
When selected, “Update Page Format for Score” will monitor your Page Layout work, and update Page Format for Score.

NB: “Update Page Format for Score” is a program specific setting, not a document specific setting.

I have no doubt that your comments are correct, however I confess that they are too difficult for me to understand.
Let me try to adjust my question. I have now attached the Autoload file that I generally work with. The staff sizes are basically the way I like them. They are 85% of the default size of 100%. If I need more staves I highlight the last measure and go to Edit/Add Measures. And I would like the added measures to be the same size, but what seems to be happening is the discrepancy in size. In Attachment #2 I have added measures, and you can see that the size changes at page 4 (Meas.57). Is there something I need to do to the Autoload to make sure that the added measures stay the same size?

Actually they are 76.5 % of the default size of 100 %:
The page is scaled to 85 %, and the System Scaling is 90 %.
85 % * 90 % = 76.5 %

What needs to be done, is described in my previous post:
Go to
Document menu > Page Format > Score…
and change the settings in “Page Format for Score” so that they are as needed:

Then use the Page Layout Tool to Redefine Pages (look in the Page Layout menu).

Take a look at the attached Finale 2011 document.
I think that it behaves as needed.
