Hi,

can't copy earlier version (2014.5) plug-ins into new Finale 25 Plug-Ins folder.
Any suggestion?

Finale 25 comes with its own plug-ins.
I suppose that you are trying to copy third party plug-ins from 2014.5 to Finale 25, right?

Finale 25 is a 64 bit application.

Older plug-ins (for the 32 bit versions) may not work with Finale 25.

I would check with the third party plug-in developer whether there is a new plug-in version, that will work with Finale 25.

Thanks.
Yes, I was trying to copy the JW Plug-Ins from 2014.5 to 25, but I'll have to wait ;-)

I cannot find the Plug-ins folder in Finder. Although I have put this "defaults write com.apple.Finder AppleShowAllFiles YES" in Terminal, I don't see the (default) location of the Plug-ins folder. I am sure that I managed to enter this folder before...
(I know that I have to start with pushing the ALT key to enter the Library)

There are two (almost) identical Finale folder hierarchies.

One resides in the Library folder in your user account.
It is the Library folder you can get to via holding down the alt key - as you have found out.
This folder hierarchy contains the user specific items, such as the user specific Templates folder where you can put your custom templates.

The other folder hierarchy resides in the root level Library folder.
This folder hierarchy contains the program specific items.
It also serves as a backup copy of the default {user account} items as they appear just after a clean Finale install.
If e. g. the Templates folder disappears from the user account, Finale will copy the root level library’s Templates folder into the user account’s Library folder.

Disclaimer:
I do not know Finale 25 (yet).
My guess is that you can find the Plug-ins folder in the root level Library:
Library/Application Support/MakeMusic/Finale 25/Plug-ins

Don't be in such a hurry to copy those plugins. They are 32 bit, and F25 is 64 bit. As we understand it, Jari is updating things, but I would wait until they are available.
