Is there any way of doing this in Finale:

Anders, I am not sure I understand your question.

Take a look at the attached Finale 2014 document where I have created a BIG size TAB staff.
TAB.musx.zip
(85.4 KiB) Downloaded 156 times
I this what you mean?
Or is it perhaps only the size of the fret numbers you are trying to increase?

Please explain.

Hi Peter!
Sorry for not clarifying what I'm asking about. So, it's the thickness of the lines I'm asking about. Is it possible to make the first line (the note E on guitar) thicker, then the 2nd line (A on guitar) and 3rd line (D on guitar) as seen in the example I gave.

Basically, can I customize the thickness of each line when writing tabulature?

Hi Anders,

I understand - showing the thick strings with thick staff-lines.

I am sorry, but I do not think that Finale can do this (I could be wrong).

Basically, in Finale the staff-line thickness is a document setting, meaning that all staff-lines (in the same document) get the same staff-line thickness.

* I suggest that you also ask your question in the forum on MakeMusic’s web site.
Some of the users there often invent very “creative” solutions.

One idea:
“Print” the Finale document to a PDF file.
Open the PDF in a vector based drawing program (like e. g. Illustrator), and edit the line thicknesses there.

Thanks anyways! I kind of thought this was a bit to much to ask of Finale. But even making just the 1st E string fatter would help a lot, if you or someone comes up with a way of doing that, please let me know =) !

Yes, I'll do it i Photoshop afterwards for now.

Photoshop is not a vector based drawing program.

Try Illustrator - or some of the in-expensive (or free) vector drawing programs - e. g. Inkscape.
