I've got five lines, 2 bars per line, each bar has repeats round them, so the middle bar lines of each line are back-to-back repeats.
All my measure settings are the same for each measure: Barline: Normal, Left barline: invisible.
For some reason, with this document, the first line's back-to-back repeats are thicker (in the middle) than the others.
I can't seem to get to the bottom of it..

Unfortunately I am unable to duplicate your problem.
I get the same Repeat Bar thickness everywhere.

Is the problem a print issue (= does it show in print)? - or is it only a screen display issue?

Do you see the issue at all zoom percentages? - In all documents?

Could you perhaps attach a (small) Finale sample document here?

This forum does not accept attachments with the Finale file name extension.

Before you can attach a Finale document in this forum, you must compress it, e. g. as a .zip file.
And the file size must not be more than max. 100 KB.

Thanks for trying.

The thicker repeats show up when printed, and on screen, in Finale and as pdf.
It happens at all zoom percentages.
The issue is only happening with this one doc - other docs I've tested this with seem fine.

I've attached the relevant Finale document as a zip file..

I do not have Finale 2009 installed, but I opened your attached document in Finale 2011.

The culprit seems to be isolated to measure 2 in this particular document.

I have not found the culprit, but I was able to fix the document:

1) Selection Tool.
Make sure that the Copy Filter is not in use (Edit menu).

2) Click measure 3 to select it.

3) Insert an empty measure at measure 3 (use the Edit menu).
Now the selection is the empty measure.

4) Hit the UpArrow key to push the selected, empty measure up into the first system.

5) Click the “faulty” measure 2 to select it.

6) Hold down the Option key (alt key), and click the empty measure.
The contents in measure 2 is copied to the empty measure.

7) Hit the Backspace key to delete the “faulty” measure 2.

After the “faulty” measure 2 has been deleted, the document displays all repeat bars correctly.

PS
There is no need for a Forward Repeat Bar at the beginning of the very first measure in the document.
But you probably already knew that.

Brilliant, thank you Peter.

'6) Hold down the Option key (alt key), and click the empty measure.
The contents in measure 2 is copied to the empty measure.'

I didn't know about this key combination - I'll be using it for sure..

'PS

I didn't know that, so thanks again..
