I like to create covers with my scores, so I'd like my page numbering to begin with the first page of music. Is there a way to do a negative page number offset? For example, my first page of music shows as page 3 and I'd like to Finale to number it as 1.
I'm using:
Finale 2014.5
Windows 10
Page number offset

Assuming that you don't want a negative number and zero (-1,0) on pages 1 and 2 :
On page 3, apply the text Insert -> Page Number and via Edit Frame Attributes, a Page range "3" to "" (empty).
Then set the Page Offset to -2 (Text tool, menu -> Page Offset).
The first page of music (3) will show as "1". There will be no page numbers (-1, 0) on the first two pages.
(You can show negative numbers in pages 1 & 2 if the Page Range is starting at 1.)
